Garments Part 1- Shirts & Tops
Ready to take your sewing skills to the next level? This 10-week course focuses on the art of constructing shirts and tops, helping you bridge the gap from basic sewing to full garment creation. You’ll dive deep into pattern reading and essential garment elements like fitting, fabric selection, seam finishes, facings, darts, pleats, gathers, and sleeves all with a focus on shirt and top construction.
Throughout the course, you'll create practice samples and a final wearable top, while mastering cutting techniques and garment assembly. This class involves significant hands-on sewing to build your confidence and proficiency.
All materials are provided, and you can choose your fabric and sewing pattern from our stash or bring your own. More details will be shared in the first session.
Prerequisite: Completion of Basic Sewing Part 1 at TSL. Or proficiency using a sewing machine.
Duration: 10 weeks, 2.5-hour sessions.
